P. Bernabé Sr. (* 2. Juli 1932 in Madrid; † 10. Mai 2007 Madrid) was one of Spain’s greatest and most renowned luthiers. Before he founded his first workshop in 1969, where he worked with his son Paulino Jr. from the 1980s onwards, Paulino Sr. worked in José Ramirez III’s workshop in the 1950s and 1960s. Bernabé guitars are still played in major venues all around the world today. For instance, Thibaut Garcia, the 2016 Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) competition winner, has been playing on a Bernabé for several years. Introducing the exquisite 1984 Paulino Bernabe guitar, a true testament to the mastery of the renowned luthier, Paulino Bernabé Sr. Crafted during a time when Bernabé Sr. worked independently in his workshop, this guitar is both an extraordinary musical instrument and an intriguing work of art. In good condition despite some playing marks on the top, this guitar bears the signs of being a well-loved and cherished instrument. The back and sides are constructed from stunning Madagascar rosewood, This exceptional guitar is an embodiment of fine craftsmanship, tradition, and the passion of its creator. The top is Canadian cedar. The scale is 653 mm, the nut width is 54 mm, the finish is French plolish, and the tuners are Fustier.
